A nutrition counseling session usually lasts about 1 hour.
Clients are asked to fill out a nutrition history questionnaire in advance which provides information about your eating
habits, lifestyle, and medical/family history.
Sessions are structured to establish your goals, and provide you with a starting plan to help you work toward achieving
those goals.
You may be provided with a goals list, an eating plan, menus, or reading materials.
Follow up visits are recommended to monitor your progress and work on difficult problem areas. Some individuals do best
if they keep a food and exercise journal. It is usually helpful to have follow visits to help you stay on track with your
goals.
